Research.
My research sits at the intersection of educational psychology, learning sciences, and technology-enhanced learning. I study how learners regulate their cognition, motivation, emotions, and social interactions in complex post-secondary learning environments, with a particular focus on technology-mediated contexts, including Generative AI
A central thread across my work is understanding how students learn both individually and socially: how they make decisions, adapt, and make sense of learning, navigating digital tools that shape the learning experience. My scholarship combines theory-driven research on self-regulated and socially shared regulation of learning with practice-based work that supports instructors, students, institutions, and policy communities.
